INDIA’S WATER WOES

21/01/2012

water

Water is a chemical substance with One part of Oxygen and two parts of Hydrogen with the chemical formula H2O. It is the life line of every living beings, living things and is a Gods gift and needs to be preserved, utilized properly for the welfare of all. The water requirement per day per person is approximately 300 litres including clean drinking water and the world population today is approximately seven billion with top ten leading populated countries being, China, India, U.S, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Russia and Japan.

The water requirement for the world population per day  approximately is 2100000000 cubic metres. India’s population today is approximately 120 crores or 1.2 billion and water requirement approximately is 360000000000 litres or 360000000 cubic metres per day @ 300 litres per person per day. This is the bare minimum requirement per person perday on an average. India’s population is expected to touch 140 crores in another 14 years (by 2025).

Unfortunately about one billion people of world population do not have access to clean drinking water and about 2.5 billion people do not have access to adequate sanitation. A recent report suggests that by 2025 the demand for clean water will exceed 50% more than the supply.

Rivers are a national pride and it plays important role of a country’s basic income source to its citizen.  It enriches the land for fertile preparation and it also decides the richness and poverty of a nation. Fight for water between country to country, state to state, city to city, district to district, village to village, house to house will keep increasing if it is not preserved in a planned manner. Several rivers vanished over a period of time that was once pride of India and that gave sufficient water to the farmers is a clear indication that how important it is to preserve water bodies.

Fortunately, India is blessed with a number of rivers from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Gujarat to Assam that is more than sufficient for the country.  We have sufficient river beds and lakes all over India but we are not concerned with the preservation of the water, its quality, and instead polluting the same, leaving poisonous contaminated water for our future generations.

We are greatly polluting our rivers including the so called sacred rivers, by throwing half burnt dead bodies of humans, animals, discharging industrial untreated effluents wastes, untreated sewage disposal, untreated drainage water, making it unfit for human consumption resulting in health hazards and our future generations will be greatly affected with unforeseen and unheard diseases. These wastes usually contain a wide variety of organic and inorganic pollutants including oils, metals, plastics, grease  pesticides and suspended solids and other known and unknown chemicals that may damage the eco system beyond control and Indian rivers will be drowned in pollution for ever and buried.

 http://www.in-pharmatechnologist.com/Materials-Formulation/Indian-river-pollution-sparks-call-for-change

The Ganga Action Plan (GAP) implemented by Govt of India reamains violated because of corruption, and the GAP remains like its name and the so called river is highly polluted by all Industries including tanneries by discharging untreated effluents directly into the river. The Polluted rivers in turn will destroy the soil that is suitable for cultivation, fatal end to the aquatic lives and trees that gives Oxygen for all. When we fail to save these rivers, they  will also give up and neglect our lives.

In any typical Indian village normally what we have seen is few   big ponds exclusively  for drinking,   for bathing,   for cattles, and   for temple each seperately for few hundred people where as in a city we are not able to see any big ponds for drinking water supply and even we are encroaching the existing lakes and ponds converting the same into bus stands, layouts, stadium etc. Similary, the area covered for construction of a house is not having the facility to harvest rain water so that it can penetrate  and perculate into the soil. City planning is only for name sake and all rules are by passed for selfish benefits and the end result will be WATER WAR.

Already water war is going on between states and this will be narrowed down to villages if strictest action plan is not implemented to save indian rivers that are being polluted and wasted into sea.

India will become the richest country in the world, if all the rivers are interconnected, preserved with purity as per the tittle report in the weekly magazine “The illustrated weekly of India”, about forty years back.

In spite of having all these best resources our 40 percent population do not have one time meal and 30 percent children are malnourished and several thousand Indian citizen are dying because of hunger. Two-thirds of Indian citizen depends on rural employment for a living and current agricultural practices are neither economically nor environmentally sustainable and India’s yields for most of the agricultural commodities are very low because of poorly maintained irrigation systems and lack of good services are main factors.

Farmer’s access to main market is hampered by  poor roads, rudimentary market infrastructure and excessive regulation. India’s poverty rate is hovering around 36% due to inefficient planning and lack of real interest coupled with corruption at all levels making it next to impossible to eradicate poverty.

http://www.thehindu.com/opinion/op-ed/article75033.ece

Eighty percent of  our country’s urban waste goes directly into the rivers and polluted to maximum levels and unsuitable even for bathing and Yamuna river is one among them..

India’s fourteen major, about 60 minor and several hundred small rivers receive India’s 80 percent urban, industrial and agricultural wastes and most of these rivers have been degraded to sewage flowing drains.  Imagine the health condition of the users of these polluted water and any one can guess the situation that may lead to catastrophic diseases that may spread across the country due to serious water quality problem in cities, towns and villages, if not controlled now.

Now the question here is who will take up the gigantic task and how it can be done. Government is not in a position to take up this   as it  has already failed in Ganga Action Plan. India’s youth power can do wonders to change this by educating the people who are spoiling the rivers. India and its people need to think a lot to save our rivers before it is too late and we need to change our attitude towards preservation of our beautiful rivers that are being polluted in all possible ways.

India needs to change and this is the time to ACT, otherwise situation will change India

KILLER MEDICINES (COUNTERFEIT)

KILLER MEDICINES

(counterfeit)

If TV report is to be believed then India is one of the top leading few countries in the world (China, Egypt and India) that produces fake drugs that may not contain appropriate ingredients (but with cheaper and even dangerous) and hence certainly may or may not be harmful to human consumption. 75% of the fake drugs available in the world has its origin in India followed by China and Egypt that runs in to more than 32 billion dollars as per World Health Organization estimates in the year 2003 and is currently more than 200 billion dollar business.

Fake drugs kill millions of lives all over the world every year and it appears all governments keep virulent about this. It is estimated that more than 10 percent medicines are fake all over the world, 25 percent of fake medicine is being consumed by developing nations and in some countries this figure goes up to 50 percent. Unfortunately innocent drug consumers are unaware of this and neither they can identify fake drugs nor confirm its authenticity and become victims of the fake medicine.

http://www.headlines24x7.com/health/india-becomes-fake-drugs-manufacturing-hub

http://www.cdsco.nic.in/REPORT_BOOK_13-7-10.pdf

http://www.gphf.org/images/downloads/library/who_factsheet275.pdf

Taking advantage of this China is exporting their fake medicines to African and other countries cleverly with Made in India label to tarnish the image of India in the pharmaceutical drug market in the world where as India is also one of the top genuine high quality patented drug producer and exporter.

http://www.dra.uni-bonn.de/metha

The same strategy is being adopted and followed by Pakistan to weaken Indian economy by printing counterfeit high denomination currencies and circulating the same in India and outside as well. Bad intention and bad seeds are being sown by both China and Pakistan that may boomerang and result in their own country’s status image in international arena and may cause damage in their own country (What you sow is what you reap).

In spite of having strict drug control and regulatory act in all countries this menace is going on because of political patronage &  CORRUPTION at all levels and an effective method to prevent manufacture/import or export of fake medicine is yet to be invented. India and China have much lesser stringent and safety regulatory standards and laws that provides best fertile soil for fake medicines.

Drug consumers or patients for that matter ever realized that the products they buy and consume (fake one) are produced from dirty water, drying out open under a lamp, insects and everything getting into it, would certainly be horrified if it is fake medicine.  People around the world are taking medications to save their own lives, by taking the wrong thing even without knowing about it.

In today’s global environment, it does not matter where you live, but everyone is at risk from fake and unsafe drugs. Fake drugs can defraud consumers and deny patients therapies that can alleviate sufferings and save their lives. Fake pills may nearly identical to their genuine counterparts but may be incorrectly formulated and manufactured in sub standard atmosphere. Spot the difference of original and fake from the following link for few medicines.

http://inchincloser.com/2011/02/07/fake-chinese-drugs-sold-in-india-china/

http://www.safemedicines.org/learn.html

Another counterfeit example of a fake medicine that may be sold with labeled dosage of 40 mg ingredients where as the original contents of the ingredients may be only 10 mg. This one is also less dangerous but can not alleviate the patients problems and even it may be dangerous to the lives though technically it is not fake  except the ingredients.

High value drugs such as Viagra, HIV/Aids, Anti-Malaria, Anti-diabetic, Anti-biotic, Anti-obesity, Anti-psychotic are being duplicated in the metabolism category. The dangers of counterfeit drugs are many fold. It may contain an incorrect amount of ingredients or no active ingredients at all and users of these medicines intend to treat a disease or illness, may be going untreated, resulting in treatment failure, or increased resistance to drugs and treatment and even perhaps death.

Some fake drugs may contain innocuous ingredients such as chalk, talcum powder, flour, sugar, vitamins, floor wax, paint that may be fatal to the patient or user. These fake drugs are being exported to all developed countries through various channels and it is a well organized and everyone involved is well paid in this operation.    A cocaine seller may be jailed for 20 years but a fake drug manufacturer may be jailed just for 2 years. A fake drug can be manufactured as low as 40 cents and can be easily sold to 18-20 dollars You can imagine the options available to a criminal.

As long as corruption is encouraged every where no laws or technology or innovative methods can stop this fake drugs entering into all countries including the so called developed nations because everything can be duplicated in today’s technology.

http://www.cnbc.com/id/44759614?__source=usatoday|presdrugs|&par=usatoday

http://www.aafp.org/fpm/2007/0300/p33.html

The government agencies act against these fake drug selling or manufacturing  companies only with specific complaint from a customer or a lab. This practice encourage the fake drug sellers or producers to be more productive in their operations of producing fake medicines because normally nobody dare to give a complaint and face several unwanted problems.

To sum up no proper survey has ever been conducted to arrive at a conclusion as to how many fake drug companies are operating all over the world and how to prevent them from selling those counterfeit or fake drugs to innocent customers. The MAIN reasons being political patronage and corruption drug money to top world leaders by powerful drug mafia  and this is a well known secret to most of the world population. Hence this will be a very difficult fight against counterfeit drugs.

GOD ONLY HAS TO SAVE THE POPULACE FROM THESE CRIMINALS AND LET US PRAY FOR THAT.

JAI JAWAN – JAI KISAN

November 1, 2011

01/11/2011
JAI JAWAN – JAI KISAN

Jai Jawan

Jai Kisan

Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” – Lal Bahadur Shastri
(Praise the Soldier, Praise the Farmer- Lal Bahadur Shastri)

Jai Jawan Jai Kisan was a slogan given to India by the then Prime Minister of India Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1965. At that time there was scarcity of food grains in our country and Pakistan attacked India in the same year, hence Shastri gave this slogan to motivate the soldiers and farmers to do their respective work. It became very popular slogan.

This slogan of a visionary Prime Minister had lost its potential over the time, due to lack of political ingenuity. After the Independence, according to Gandhian vision of Gram Swaraj, villages, and specially farmers were to be the main focus of any development plan of India. This is totally neglected by subsequent Indian governments.

But what is actually happening in India.?

As years passed by, irrigation, agriculture as an Industry and modernization of Indian defence forces lost its importance for policy makers of India.

If at all we do, we do everything when things go beyond control.

This, over the time, caused severe distress, anxiety and depression among the farmers leading to recent phenomenal rise in the number of suicides among farmer community due to several reasons mainly because of irrigation problem, poverty, loan, exploitation, high interest rate etc. Invariably, every day in national newspapers there is news related to farmers’ suicides.

In a country of 70 or more million farmers, it is 10 out of every 100,000 farmers who commit suicide. This is higher than the total national suicide rate. The number of farmers committing suicide in India is more than twice of the total number of suicides being committed in the top 100 countries on the suicide list. This indeed, is a worrying factor in spite of so called government’s measures including waiving of loans worth billions, (where the money goes?), construction of dams?, and other assisting ? measures have not produced any positive results so far.

http://www.indiatogether.org/2007/oct/pho-aid2oct.htm

http://www.indianjpsychiatry.org/article.asp?issn=0019-5545;year=2008;volume=50;issue=2;spage=124;epage=127;aulast=Behere

The slogan was gifted with a good intention of creating a nation that can face challenges like food scarcity and outside security threat to the country. But over a period of time we have forgotten the creator of the slogan and the very purpose of this slogan and the end result is unthinkable and intolerable.

Jawans (Soldiers) and kisans (farmers) of our country are to be worshiped who protect us from food shortage and external threats even at unfavorable conditions.

Indian government procures food grains through Food corporation of India from farmers from every state for a pittance and is supposed to be stored in a well maintained Food storage go downs and what we have seen and seeing in tv, shows that millions of tonnes of food grains allowed purposely to rot in open space for months together because of inaction of the Govt of India and State government.

One side, millions of poor fellow Indians and even poor people of other countries are dying every year due to starving and malnutrition and the other-side millions of tonnes of food grains are purposely allowed to rot is unfair, unjustified, unthinkable and intolerable. This way Govt of India is creating a food shortage and help corporates/Business people to make money out of farmer’s labor and coffin.

The SLEEPING Indian Government is not understanding the responsibilities of the care to be taken in the interests of the country/world and its people. If the food grains are allowed to rot, due to lack of storage space, what is the necessity to procure it from the farmers? Let it be sold in the market so that food prices are kept at competitive prices and everyone will be benefited. This shameful affair goes on for the last few decades after independence.

Similarly it is a sordid affair and shameful to hear that several thousand farmers are committing suicide every year due to debts and our government is doing nothing about this. There is no sympathy or empathy towards farmers though billions of money is being (said to be) spent in the name of loan waiving.

If it is so, why a farmer is committing suicide?

Where does this money go?

Are we giving any due respect to any Kisan (farmer) who commits suicide and find out why and what situation forced him to commit the self crime and adopt measures to prevent further?.

No, we are not and neither the Government.

It is the greatest SHAME TO EVERY INDIAN AND INDIAN GOVERNMENT EVEN IF ONE FARMER COMMITS SUICIDE BECAUSE OF POVERTY/ BANK LOAN/ EXPLOITATION/ HIGH INTEREST RATE. OR DEBTS.

What is the use of the so called rich Indians. We agree that they contribute to the growth of India/Indians but at the same time they exploit every employee of their respective Industry in one way or the other way and do not bother about anything else except their own business interests. What is their contribution towards the growth of agriculture and farmers? NOTHING!

Did any one try to create any irrigation canal to meet farmers water woes?

Did any one try to connect Ganga and Cauvery rivers to make India the richest country in the world? (We can do it like NILE river but sleeping)

Did any one try to create a new drinking water supply to any city/village? (we are closing existing water bodies to create cities and blaming civic bodies for water woes in city and rain god for irrigation )

(there may be exceptional cases who did something great to the society like Sri Sathya Sai Baba)

Are they eating MONEY or FOOD GRAINS.?

Army Day 2011

62 years of honour and sacrifice
Indian Army celebrates January 15 every year as Army Day to commemorate the Day, when Gen K M Cariappa (later Field Marshal) became the first commander-in-chief of the Indian Armed Forces after Independence, taking over the command of the Armed Forces from Gen Sir F R R Bucher, the last British Commander-in-Chief in 1949.
Since Independence, the Indian Army has grown to be a professional, apolitical and humanitarian force to reckon with, while serving in the most adverse and diverse conditions. Unlike any other army in the world, it has the unique experience of fighting wars, at minus 50 degrees centigrade, in Siachen and braving the hot climate conditions in the Thar desert at plus 50 degrees is a major credit to our soldiers. The defence Officers and Soldiers also have the experience of fighting wars in the deserts and plains in the west to thick jungles and ravines in the North East.

Unity in Diversity
Indian defence forces, which is popularly known as mini-India, has Officers and Soldiers hailing from all provinces, ethnic cultures and also speaking different languages. They live, eat, train and fight together to defend the sovereignty of our nation, thus setting an example of unity in diversity.

To meet the religious aspirations of army personnel, units have “Sarva Dharma Sthal” where all ranks from different faiths can worship according to their beliefs, under one roof. While the soldiers have earned acclaim in all wars fought since Independence, they have also endeared themselves with their countrymen, by helping them during natural and man made calamities. They have earned their country’s gratitude. Indian Army has also earned appreciation in counter insurgency operations, counter terror and ongoing proxy war. But unfortunately, we are not even providing a bullet proof vests to them.
A recent article over at the BBC News website is claiming that the Indian army is loosing more soldiers to suicide than to enemy action. The statistics for this year alone are a bit weird, and according to the article, over 72 soldiers have lost their lives in combat this year, but approximately 100 soldiers have committed suicide.
It seems the key issue is home sickness and leave because of empty mind. Experts believe and attribute to the growing stress to low morale, bad service conditions, lack of adequate home leave, unattractive pay and a communication gap with superiors. To quote from the article:
“Soldiers get angry when they are denied leave and their officers themselves take time off. It triggers a reaction, they are well armed and they take their own lives.”
It is going on out of frustration. This is squarely because of senior officers inability to impinge and understand the soldiers needs. Our Soldiers are really the great warriors and we need to provide everything to them when they are badly hit by stress or home sickness. They must be kept active in one way or the other at any given time and practicing yoga will give very useful benefits during off duty period to control their mind and body.
The soldiers’ apathy must be addressed properly to keep them fit for any given time of emergency by mentally and physically. This is the duty of the Indian government to prevent suicides among defence forces.

The world famous great Indian Tamil Poet and freedom fighter Mahakavi Bharathi declared once that if food is not made available to even one person in the world, the world is not required and it needs to be destroyed.

Are we inching towards that day? The answer is YES

And unfortunately, we are also part of the game and our own unscrupulous and irresponsible Indian government officials wasting millions of tonnes of our food grains on the pretext, lack of space/go-down or infrastructure, purposely, is unforgivable and must be punished, who ever it may be.

INDIA INCHING TOWARDS ANARCHY AND CIVIL WAR (BECAUSE OF CORRUPTION)

October 8, 2011

INDIA INCHING TOWARDS ANARCHY AND CIVIL WAR

(BECAUSE OF CORRUPTION)

Corruption

Summary of All scams of India :
Rs. 910603234300000/-

See how Lokpal Bill can curb the politicians, and Government Officials.
Circulate it to create awareness

Existing System

1) No politician or senior officer ever goes to jail despite huge evidence because Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) and CBI directly come under the government. Before starting investigation or prosecution in any case, they have to take permission from the same bosses, against whom the case has to be investigated.

2) No corrupt officer is dismissed from the job because Central Vigilance Commission, which is supposed to dismiss corrupt officers, is only an advisory body. Whenever it advises government to dismiss any senior corrupt officer, its advice is never implemented.

3) No action is taken against corrupt judges because permission is required from the Chief Justice of India to even register an FIR against corrupt judges.

4) Nowhere to go – People expose corruption but no action is taken on their complaints.

5) There is so much corruption within CBI and vigilance departments. Their functioning is so secret that it encourages corruption within these agencies.

6) Weak and corrupt people are appointed as heads of anti-corruption agencies.

7) Citizens face harassment in government offices. Sometimes they are forced to pay bribes. One can only complaint to senior officers. No action is taken on complaints because senior officers also get their cut.

8) Nothing in law to recover ill gotten wealth. A corrupt person can come out of jail and enjoy that money.

9) Small punishment for corruption- Punishment for corruption is minimum 6 months and maximum 7 years.

System Proposed by civil society

1) Lokpal at centre and Lokayukta at state level will be independent bodies. ACB and CBI will be merged into these bodies. They will have power to initiate investigations and prosecution against any officer or politician without needing anyone’s permission. Investigation should be completed within 1 year and trial to get over in next 1 year. Within two years, the corrupt should go to jail.

2) Lokpal and Lokayukta will have complete powers to order dismissal of a corrupt officer. CVC and all departmental vigilance will be merged into Lokpal and state vigilance will be merged into Lokayukta.

3) Lokpal & Lokayukta shall have powers to investigate and prosecute any judge without needing anyone’s permission.

4) Lokpal & Lokayukta will have to enquire into and hear every complaint.

5) All investigations in Lokpal & Lokayukta shall be transparent. After completion of investigation, all case records shall be open to public. Complaint against any staff of Lokpal & Lokayukta shall be enquired and punishment announced within two months.

6) Politicians will have absolutely no say in selections of Chairperson and members of Lokpal & Lokayukta. Selections will take place through a transparent and public participatory process.

7) Lokpal & Lokayukta will get public grievances resolved in time bound manner, impose a penalty of Rs 250 per day of delay to be deducted from the salary of guilty officer and award that amount as compensation to the aggrieved citizen.

8) Loss caused to the government due to corruption will be recovered from all accused.

9) Enhanced punishment – The punishment would be minimum 5 years and maximum of life imprisonment.

Dear All, Please go through the details carefully & try to be part of this mission against corruption. Things to know about Anna Hazare and Lok pal Bill-:

1.Who is Anna Hazare?

An ex-army man (Unmarried). Fought 1965 Indo-Pak war.

2.What’s so special about him?

He built a village Ralegaon Siddhi in Ahamad Nagar district, Maharashtra.

3.This village is a self-sustained model village. Energy is produced in the village itself from solar power, bio-fuel and wind mills. In 1975, it used to be a poverty clad village. Now it is one of the richest village in India. It has become a model for self-sustained, Eco-friendly & harmonic village.
4. This guy, Anna Hazare was awarded Padma Bhushan and is a known figure for his social activities.

5. He is supporting a cause, the amendment of a law to curb corruption in India.

6. How that can be possible?

He is advocating for a Bill, The Lok Pal Bill (The Citizen Ombudsman Bill), that will form an autonomous authority who will make politicians (ministers), bureaucrats (IAS/IPS) accountable for their deeds.

7. It’s an entirely new thing right..?

In 1972, the bill was proposed by then Law minister Mr. Shanti Bhushan. Since then it has been neglected by the politicians and some are trying to change the bill to suit their theft (corruption).

8. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time? The first thing he is asking for is: the govt should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed. Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the LOK PAL BILL. 50% government participation and 50% public participation. Bcoz we can’t trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.

9.What will happen when this bill is passed?

A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished.

We are not creating a parallel government and suppress the existing one but to pass a strong bill to create an independent statutory body like Election Commission to arrest the corrupt people in our country and society that has grown to uncontrollable level and India is being looted and fleeced. Pass this on and show your support..

It is everyone’s responsibility to make sure that Our Country is not looted and fleeced by any one who ever it may be.

PLEASE Forward it to your relatives & friends and our Nation needs us…Please Contribute… This is not just a forward, it’s the future of our Nation and our future generation to live in a corrupt free Country. Why not we try our best ?

TEARS OF MOTHER INDIA

TEARS OF MOTHER INDIA

Tears of Mother India

Times of India, dated 24th September 26, 2011, page no 19 report shows that India is the leading country in the world for child and mother mortality. We Indians are boasting that we are the 4th strongest country in the world, and shamefully we have to admit that we are the First (Top) in child and mother mortality.

WHAT A SHAME?

What about world impression about GREAT INDIA?

Is there any PERFORMING ? Health Minister seeing or reading the news.

Our country’s political leaders and administrators have no plight for the future of Mother India, and its future children. They bothered only one thing, how to amass wealth within the stipulated period of time before next elections. Bureaucrats do not bother about the time but slowly accumulate illegal wealth by hook or crook. They do not bother about the country or its citizen or mothers or future children. We need not blame all but because of few good, the country is crawling to achieve first rank in all fields.

Government hospitals are functioning for name sake and corruption prevailing every step inside the building and only money speaks there and even if some one is ready for that then all necessary infrastructure may not be available there to look after the emergency situation or patients’ necessity. Why private hospitals are flourishing in every city is the answer to the above.

Who is responsible for this killer death bed of mothers and infants.? We need to ask ourselves. We are responsible for this. What we are doing about this? Nothing, except that we franchise the vote to select some one who is capable or not, who is a rowdy or not, who is a murderer or not, who is a cheat or not, simply we do not bother about this aspect.
Neither the election commission nor the Government of India or for that matter the so called political parties bother about this. They give ticket to stand in election only to those who are not capable, in other words they select who gives money to the party, or is a history creator or is a rowdy or is a murderer or is a crowd puller by mesmerizing speech. These are the only basic qualification required to become a political member of a party or to stand as a candidate for election to become an MLA/MP apart from age and from who we can expect only non performance. From this, one can imagine the future of Mother India.
If we are not learning lessons from these News report as mentioned above our future India will be a death bed of MOTHERS AND INFANTS and we are all responsible for this, and we will never create a strong India that is DEVELOPED, self reliance in all respects the way Shri Abdul Kalam asked everyone of us to dream about.
We need to look into important aspects of following information about candidates fighting for elections.
1. History of the candidate
2. Qualifications of the candidate
3. Financial aspects of the candidate
4. Police/court records of the candidate
5. Assets of the candidate
6. What is his aspirations
7. What he has done to the society till now
8. Credibility of the candidate
9. Reputation of the candidate
10. What he knows about the constituency and what he is going to do.

Without knowing all these information if we CONTINUE to do the same select and elect a member then we will be responsible for turning India as a grave yard of FUTURE Mothers and Infants. LET US NEVER DO THIS AGAIN AND TRY OUR BEST TO SAVE OUR FUTURE MOTHERS AND INFANTS OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY.

ADD FUEL TO FIRE

ADD FUEL TO (ANTI CORRUPTION) FIRE

Anti Corruption Movement

This is the prime time for the CREATION of a NEW PARTY that may require time to be nourished and bring up before next elections to compete and win election and run this country free from CORRUPTION and this fire must be fuelled always to prevent it from dying otherwise the efforts started will ended in fiasco. This fire must be nourished for the benefit of the nation in all possible ways and the youth power must be used for other major national plans for the country and its people.

Sri Anna team has to work hard to congregate the youth of this country to be prepared and trained to face the challenges for this great tough job before next parliamentary elections by imitating the same behavior of AHIMSA that was shown during the fast at Ram Lila maiden in New Delhi. But this has to be done for the progress of this country and its people and future generation to live in a corruption free country.

The government with all its might may try to intimidate the team with all resources available at its disposal that we may call it vengeance. Because no one in the powerful corridor will tolerate a (blackmail like) peaceful satyagraha to bring in a law with which their own survival may be at stake. Team Anna need to create state wise New Party Offices preferably in a centre place of each state to bring down or minimize the cost of expenditure. It must be totally transparent in its day to day activities and make sure that unscrupulous elements do not find way to this new party that is ready to face challenges unforeseen before. It is very essential to recruit people from all walks of life to give elixir to the party but not criminals, goondas and history sheeters. The new party’s image must be kept above individuals’ prestige and anyone who is not following the party’s rules and regulations should be shown the door. People will certainly support even a new party provided it promises clean governance.
The question here is the majority. To get essential majority it is very essential to give tickets only to those honest people in public life, not to the rich but to the most honest. The bureaucrats must be educated to behave people friendly and not to fleece the country and every single government related work must have TIME FRAME and accountability including emergency situation like natural calamity, violence, war, etc.

To arrest black money government can implement abolition of Rs. 1000/- and Rs.500/- notes and any deal beyond Rs.1000 must be through bank cheques or through debit or credit card only. Similarly government must try its best to come out with the names of the people having foreign bank accounts and under what circumstances it is made and if it is found fleeced from government coffer it must be brought back also.

Government/Party must also declare the movable and immovable assets of the people in governance before and after the tenure of their services and any discrepancies found should be dealt with severely according to the law of the land but within a year. Any case in any court must be completed within a year and accordingly the infrastructure must be adequately increased instead of lasting for more than ten or twenty years as it is being practiced currently. We have created lazy sitting ducks in government offices and we have to make them run like horses like those in private organization and then only the country will improve. Above all they must be trained to behave properly with the public of this country, reminding them that they are the servants of this nation and its public. Government job does not mean that they are the king of this country or the organization or the department and everyone from top to bottom must be made accountable for each and every work in total transparency. Team anna’s efforts to eradicate corruption AND POVERTY will be only successful with creation of a NEW POLITICAL PARTY.

Youth and future of India

August 25, 2011
admin

People normally criticize the youth of wasting their valuable time on cinema and in politics or with politicians. People may aware that our retired previous president, Shri ABDUL KALAM, is an outstanding person who inspires the youth and make them understand the importance of their contributions towards the growth of this country in a useful way and since then several organizations are created doing philanthropic job of TEAM EVEREST consists of about three thousand five hundred members or so mostly from software industry and doing wonderful job like any other best NGOs.

Thanks to the youth power who understand their might and can do wonders for the sake of our country and people and fulfill the dreams of our ex president Shri ABDUL KALAM to take this country to the next level as a developed country by 2020.

This is possible to achieve only when we do not have outdated laws and corrupt politicians and bureaucrats at all levels.

Government must be working for the people of this country and not against the interest of the country or its people. But our political system is created in such a way that all government officials, top to bottom and politicians can fleece this country’s coffer and its citizen to any extent and they think that no one will be there to question them and they are the kings of the country for ever. These young intelligent people have been watching the performance of the so called political parties and how they are looting this country in all possible ways for the last few decades since independence and fed up with the outdated systems, spineless laws that can not deal with the corrupt or even if the case is filed against any corrupt official/minister then that will be lasting for more than 10 or 20 years. This is the reason everyone has been waiting for a leader like ANNA HAZARE who is a clean, selfless leader for the YOUTH with WISDOM and VISION.

India was said to be richest country in the world and hence it was invaded by outsiders several times, looted and ruled by outsiders because there was no cooperation amongst ancestral Indians and foreign invaders were successful in dividing us because we had TRAITORS amongst us. Unfortunately even after independence we have traitors among us who are part of this governance to loot this country and THIS MUST BE STOPPED at all costs.

It is time for the Educated and Intelligent youth to enter in to political career life, by creating NEW PARTY to deal with the situation and keep away all criminals, create new suitable stringent laws to deal with looters and traitors of this country and protect this country from evil eyes and if necessary take guidance from civilized civil society and take it to new heights. All central/state government politicians must have an age bar to retire like any other government official/private sector official.

Since traitors or the looters of this country is enjoying a life style that is not less than a KING, amassing wealth for their several generations, will not just easily yield to change the laws by introducing a strong JAN LOKPAL BILL that goes against their personal interests. The so called people who oppose a strong janlokpal bill to deal with looters of this country’s citizen & coffer are perhaps having some vested interests.

So it is the right time to float a NEW PARTY by the educated youth of this country with total maturity, wisdom, dedication, and transparency to deal with the situation and do wonders to the country and its people. When the youth can create NGOs and help the needy they can create a New Party also and make sure to keep away the criminals with police records and am sure that everyone will franchise their vote to the new party from which people expect some good and clean governance. India is facing with lot of problems which our political leaders unable to solve because of vested interests, party in fight and lack of interest need to be addressed by our youth and show the political leaders that if there is a will there is a way to solve all the problems. Our literacy rate in many states are found to be below average and state governments are doing nothing to educate our future generations because government do not want to see educated children in our society and because of this negligence private schools are mushrooming and cashing in on the opportunity and fleecing the poor parents and citizens.

Hope this blog article will inspire the youth of this country to do something great and change India’s image in the world to new heights. Now, even if the Janlokpal bill is introduced and passed I prefer the youth power to be carry forwarded with same fervor and energy for good causes like cleaner air, education, forestation, linking of rivers that are possible to irrigate unfertile land, solving drinking water problem of the cities, after calculating the wastage of river water to sea, better transportation by increasing the infrastructure facility, exploring the possibility of wide water way transportation if Ganga and Cauvery or any other river is connected like Nile river in Egypt, or suez canal type water way, women power in parliament with 50 % reservations, proper land acquisition principles and law to prevent middle men or politicians making money out of farmers land, educating some of our youth to treat our women folk with respect, tourism development in each state as we do have heritage monuments telling beautiful historical stories of our ancient KINGS and their contributions to our beautiful country, transforming the hatred feelings of our brother and sisters of Pakistan into love and affection, better friendly relations with our neighboring countries and above all lead our way to show global nations the power of India

Indian Democracy in peril

INDIA’S POLITICAL SITUATION

Anti - corruption

Sri Anna Hazare needs to start a new Political party and win elections to introduce what he wants to eradicate the Monster (CORRUPTION) that we have created. Neither the current government nor any other govt will be interested to eradicate the monster and perhaps technically a civilian/civil society can not introduce a bill/law into parliament and can not force an elected government to accept as it is a matter of prestige to the government and it may never oblige because of vested interests as well.
If a current political leader has to give a lecture in Ramlila grounds or Pragadi maidan, at Delhi, millions will be brought to the national capital from all over the country in support of the party/political leader and in that case there is no security problem in the capital, and the police can manage the show without any problem of law and order and security problem is applicable only in the case of a corruption crusader like ANNA HAZARE, who is a simple and humble leader still believe in Gandhian principles of non-violence and willing to protest in a peaceful manner.
Though the representatives are elected by the citizens of this country India, the representatives are thinking that they are going to be there or rule for ever like a KING without thinking for a moment the importance of the issues raised by the public and fail to understand the pulse of the nation and ignoring the fact that they can be thrown out of power in the next elections.
By preventing Sri Anna Hazare and his team or the so called civil society members to stage a peaceful protest in the place requested by them, the government is doing a biggest mistake of taking this country to unprecedented and undeclared emergency like situation that will give an opportunity to enemy countries to undermine the capability of India.
Let the government place both the government drafted bill and civil society drafted bill to the public opinion and as per majority of the outcome can be adopted as the law for Lokpal bill. If civil society member’s Lokpal bill is better than the Government drafted Lokpal bill why the government should resist the bill if the intentions are not bad?
Even if the government rejects the Lokpal bill drafted by civil society members now, this will be implemented later on when the government changes after the elections. Why the current government not taking advantage of this and passes the civil society drafted bill in the interest of this country and continue in power for being implemented and taking actions against the corrupt and win next elections also.
It clearly appears that the advisors to government is giving ill advice because of ego and sparing some of its powers to Lokpal Institution that may send many of the corrupt to prisons, if proved.
If the government continues its aggressive and suppressive actions against peaceful demonstrators the people of this country will not tolerate and hesitate to teach a lesson to the government which fails to understand the demand of the common people. Perhaps it will be too late for the government to realize its own mistakes and will never get another opportunity to come to power for many years until another government makes a blunder mistake and people teach a lesson to that also. People of this country is very angry about corruption in day to day life and without greasing the palms of the government staff the work can not be done at any cost.
Very few social activists have captured the attention of Indians across the globe as Anna Hazare did during his “fast unto death” over the issue of the Lokpal Bill in New Delhi in April 2011. Hazare, a Gandhian by belief, outlook and practice, has become the face of India’s fight against corruption. During his fast over the Lokpal Bill, Hazare, a quintessential traditional Indian by looks and mannerism, managed to inspire and mobilize the support of even the ultra-modern Indians – Indians for whom the word “social” only means having a profile on social networking sites. The “Anna Hazare fast” can be described as the first real “social networking movement” in India. Hazare, a former Army man, began his social activism from Ralegan Siddhi, a village in Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra, where he successfully led a movement against alcoholism and made Ralegan Siddhi a “model village”. Hazare’s campaign was instrumental in the implementation of the Right to Information Act in Maharashtra, which is considered one of the best RTI Acts in India. A Ramon Magsaysay award winner, Anna Hazare, like his idol, Mahatma Gandhi, has triggered a debate over the use of fast as a means of protest in India. By sheer commitment and simplicity, he has demonstrated that Gandhian principles are relevant even in the 21st-century India.

CORRUPTION TIME BOMB

admin

Corruption Time Bomb

India is virtually sitting on a time bomb for the last few decades and if not all, most politicians, bureaucrats and corporates fleeced the country and country men in one way or the other since Independence and people were waiting for an opportunity to look for a leader who can raise a voice against corruption along with them and found a leader, Anna Hazare, with Gandhi principles of ahimsa, and people accept him as their leader to fight against corruption. Greedy politicians are trying their best to tarnish the image of Mr. Anna Hazare by telling that he is corrupt and deserter of Indian Army where as army has certified that he was a decorated soldier as per The Times of India news paper report on 21/08/2011 bangalore edition.

Central and State governments has done nothing to stop corruption except allowing people at government and high levels to fleece this country coffer and citizen and the time bomb started clicking since independence and can explode anytime if the government is still reluctant to implement strictest laws to prevent corruption at all levels. Indians are ashamed of the politicians, bureaucrats who is not capable of stopping corruption at all levels.

It is very shameful for a leader at PM level saying that there is no magic wand to stop corruption by doing nothing to prevent corruption. In spite of knowing that Ministers or high level government officials are fleecing the government coffers the concerned government officials are becoming part of this loot and not preventing this except few who tried to intervene or inform higher authorities.

Indian political leaders are forgetting the basic point that they are the servants of this nation and its people and should not think of crushing any democratic Gandhi type peaceful movement in ahimsa as per the constitution law of this nation, by force or any other tactics. A good leader is the one who understand the pulse of the nation and read the mind of its people and do something great to the benefit of the nation and its people and should not allow thieves to dominate and fleece the coffer and citizens of the country. Government’s duty is to protect the coffer and not allow to be looted. Unfortunately, we do not have a good political leader today.

Corruption is prevailing because there is NO TIME FRAME FIXED for government related works and there is no discipline, transparency at government office related works. They do not get punished for the delay in work so they are free to ask money for the work to be done. The need of the hour is transperency and accountability by all.

For example if a person apply for a Passport, it must be delivered to the person within a stipulated normal period of 15 days to 30 days depending on the infrastructure available at disposal and if not done the concerned person or the chief should be punished for not doing the job by terminating his or her services immediately. Actually there is no transparency in government related works hence corruption is high in its offices. Government officials do not even attend office on time and regularly and there is always an excuse that the person is on a meeting or on survey or on field duty like that.

Similarly if some one applies for a Driving license, the concerned depart should honestly issue the same after careful checking and it must be issued within 30 days or so again depending on available infrastructure instead of taking money and blindly issuing the licenses without even seeing the person who applied for the license. Same is the case with Ration Card. Same is the case applicable to corporate too like Insurance companies looting the public by not giving correct information about their various products through their agents and loot the innocent public and neither the Insurance ombudsman nor IRDA help the poor innocent citizen.

Government is nothing but an authoritative Institution created by the citizens with elected members to function, maintain and run the country and also to protect the citizen from internal and external threats with certain responsibility and when it fails in its duties, people of this country has every right to raise a voice, question and put it under pressure to do what they want. Government has NO RIGHT to question the people of this country and impose what they do not want. The people of this country suffered a lot from corruption, top to bottom since Independence for several decades because of the inefficient politicians, bureaucrats, system and laws.

People want to change this by giving some suggestions to the government to pass a bill prepared by some eminent personalities after scrutinizing and consulting with various organizations the pros and cons to suit today’s needs to make some improvement of transparency in government functions and to eliminate corruption at all levels as much as possible with severe punishment to the offenders, because all the subsequent governments after Independence failed in their duty to eliminate corruption and prevent black money and stashing away about so called 40 billion American dollars to Swiss banks or foreign banks. If the government implements a bill that protects an offender, the people of this country will not be a silent spectator.

If the government’s intentions are honest it must look into Anna Hazare and the civil society drafted Lokpal bill and implement it with corrections, amendments if required, to make it more stringent to protect the interests of the country and its people failing which the country may face severe consequences. If there is a will certainly there will be a way. Every Indian must be under the ambit of the JanLokpal bill.

Hope that our wise & responsible non political leaders of the country will advice & guide our government to take appropriate actions to end this corruption menace and save this country from the thieves and looters. Corruption time bomb is clicking to explode if not acted on time and this is the right time to deactivate otherwise it may explode and destroy the entire nation. Some of the following links help to understand both the versions of lokpal bill and how it is different from one another and why people are favoring for janlokpal bill and support Anna Hazare.
